ABSTRACT

Concentrations of cobalt, nickel, chromium and vanadium in a composite dike and a dike at Tateiwa, north Izu were determined by quantitative spectrochemical analysis. Their distribution in the central and marginal parts of each dike was discussed. The concentrations of nickel and cobalt are highest at the boundary of aphyric and porphyritic portions in the composite dike, and vanadium shows maximum concentration in the marginal part which is the boundary zone between each dike and the surrounding scoriae.
